web skinpen vertical shadowSkinPen® is a micro-needling technology that uses multiple fine needles to vertically pierce the skin, causing collagen remodeling. The SkinPen® uses precise settings to reach a particular depth in the skin while minimizing damage to the topical skin. SkinPen is the only FDA-approved, medical grade, micro needling device.   SkinPen® can be used on all types of skin and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks.

How many treatments will I need?

Each patient is unique. Most treatment areas require 3-6 treatment sessions spaced 4 weeks apart.

What areas can be treated?

The most popular areas of treatment are the face, neck, chest, hands and abdominal stretch marks.

Can I treat more than one area in one session?

Yes. Most patients combine the face, neck and chest into one treatment session.

How long does the procedure take?

An individual area takes about 30 minutes.

What can I expect during my procedure?

Dr Hanna will meet with you to discuss your unique concerns to develop your treatment plan.

Your skin will be cleansed and a topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure your comfort during the treatment. Most patients feel no discomfort.  The treatment will last approximately 30-60 minutes depending on how many treatment areas are selected.

The recovery process will last about 48-72 hours for most individuals. Initially your skin may be red and sensitive like sunburn. Post-treatment we recommend keeping your skin well hydrated and avoid UV light. There is no physical downtime, but you may want to schedule social downtime for the recovery process. SkinPen®  treatments can be repeated monthly if needed to obtain your desired outcome.
